Path to the Middle Class Goes Through Metal Facilities: For many Californians, a career in the metals sector is their only path to the middle class. This is common in many disadvantaged communities. California is home to 4,000 metalworking facilities, employing over 350,000 Californians with high-paying manufacturing jobs and health benefits.
Looking Towards the Future: Our metals coalition continues to grow. CMC holds an annual conference in May, quarterly regional roundtables throughout the state, and topic-specific meetings throughout the year.
