About Storm Water Groups:
California's industrial general permit (IGP) allows for the formation of Groups. Individual facilities within the same industry can join a group.
Groups must be formed by a qualified group leader. Group leader(s) must have specific knowledge of their designated industry, visit each group participant at least once per year, analyze best management practices, help educate employees at the facility, and assist individual facilities with all facets of the permit.
While it remains the responsibility of each individual site to comply with the storm water permit, Groups offer special services, shared knowledge, unique expertise, and many cost-saving measures.
